Purpose

Frood is committed to offering the Frood app and web interface in a safe manner to minimize the risk of any health, allergen, or safety issues. The purpose of this document is to establish the minimum requirements for leftover food that users are permitted to post on the Frood app and web interface.

Donation Requirements

Anyone who posts leftover food on the Frood app and web interface MUST follow the below requirements:

• Food from university catering services is preferred.
• Food should be posted immediately upon conclusion of your event, or as soon as the food is not needed.
• Food should remain in the original packaging and serving utensils should be left with the food.
• Ensure that any ingredient or allergen signage remains clearly displayed with the leftover food.

NOTE: Foods are no longer considered safe to eat when they have been in the danger zone of 40-140°F for more than 2 hours (1 hour if the temperature was above 90°F).
