Overview
Every day departments, offices, and clubs hold events and meetings across campus with catered food. Often, when these events and meetings end, there is leftover catered food that gets thrown away. Our goal is to end this wasteful cycle at universities.
The purpose of the Frood application is to advertise leftover catered food from events and meetings at universities to help reduce food insecurity and food waste on campuses. Frood will allow faculty, staff, and students to post leftover food from an event or meeting either through the mobile app or web interface. In addition, students who are looking for free leftover food can view active events on either the mobile application or web interface.
